Robert L. Overton, Sr.

Robert L. Overton, Sr. was born March 20, 1933 to Frank Overton and Molly Smith in Dyersburg, TN. Although we don't know the time his life began, we know it ended November 12, 2021 at 0728.

Robert was an Air Force Veteran, and while stationed at Davis Mountain Air Base in Tucson, AZ he met Glenna Tyson in 1950. They married in 1952 and for the next 61 years they gave the world 9 daughters and 1 son.

Robert is survived by his children, Maggie Overton, Maschelle (Ben) Henson, Rosa Reed, LaNora Overton, Stephanie (Mark) Peacock of Tucson, AZ, Marlene Overton, Rita (Willie) Hinton, Sr.; and baby girl, Tanya Overton; 23 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in passing by his wife, Glenna; daughter, Brenda Overton; and son, Robert L. Overton, Jr.
