Ronald Hill Obituary
09/22/1946 - 06/20/2024
Ronald Lee Hill, age 77, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024. Ron was born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 22, 1946, to Billy Lee and Doris "Carl" (Moore) Hill. He was a 1964 graduate of Whitmer High School and was in the Ohio National Guard as an MP. Ron was a Sr. Civil/Structural Designer at Campbell DeBoe, SFT, OTS and SSOE. He would meet up monthly at Bob Evans with his high school buddies for breakfast and catching up. Ron enjoyed spending winters in his RV with his wife in Florida, which he did for many years. He loved being outdoors and doing lawn care. He was a fan of The Ohio State University football team. Ron was also an enthusiast of pocket knives, flashlights, remote controls and technology. He was a member of the Robinson-Locke Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Conn-Weissenberger American Legion post.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Robbin L. Meyer. Ron is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley (Gladney) Hill; daughter, Angela Hill of Waynesville, NC; stepdaughter, Pamela (Don) Wood of Mesa, AZ; stepson, Timothy (Kimberly) Inglis of Holland, OH, and 4 grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Road, Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where Masonic services will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
