Thomas Aubry Obituary

AUBRY

Thomas J.

Thomas John Aubry, age 66, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015, surrounded by his family. Tom was born in Toledo on December 5, 1948, to Harold and Marjorie Aubry. Although these dates are a matter of record, Tom would remind anyone who asked, it is not the dates that matter, but the dash in between. Tom's dash represents a legacy that will not be soon forgotten.

Tom, known simply as Aubry to his lifelong friends, attended Cardinal Stritch High School where he was an accomplished athlete. His antics, on and off the field, during his high school years solidified his status as a legend to those who knew him at the time.

Following high school, Tom served in the Navy, met and married Ina Sue (Estep), had his only child, Brian, and earned his degree from Siena Heights University.

Tom's Vietnam era military experience included two Mediterranean cruises, stories from which he was always eager to share. Tom retired from Chrysler as a supervisor. When not working, Tom cherished time his wife, son, granddaughter, and his nine siblings. He had a lifelong love of boating, vacationing, and Notre Dame football. He was a member of Maumee Elks and Maumee American Legion. Those close to Tom recognize that what he sometimes lacked in eloquence, he more than compensated for with a large heart.

Surviving is his loving wife, Ina Sue Aubry; son, Brian (Lauren) Aubry; granddaughter, Natalie; siblings, Harold (Linda) Aubry, Marilyn (Bob) Jesionowski, Sharon (Fred) Bayer, James Aubry, Richard Aubry, Barbara (John) Stefanelli, John (Rebecca) Aubry, Patrick (Susan) Aubry and Donald (Jamie) Aubry, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Marianne.

Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Monday, April 6, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery. To the Aubrey Family
I had the good fortune of having Tom as a classmate at St Rose Elementary school. Don't remember what grade he joined us as his family was new to Perrysburg. However, I do recall that he was a great friend, had a large wonderful family and very caring parents. To Tom and family: May the light of your soul guide you; may divine love and grace shelter you always Old Irish Blessing Patrick T. Dowling MD Los Angeles

My deepest sympathy to the Aubry family. I graduated with Tom from Cardinal Stritch High School and remember him as a very kind and friendly guy...always smiling. It was so good to see him again at a recent class reunion. The Stritch family feels his loss too. Rest in peace, Tom.

To Sue, Brian, and the entire Aubry family; There is so much that I can say about Tom - that I do not know where to begin! He was the most authentic, and sincere man that I ever knew, and I will always remember his terrific smile - along with his graciousness. He was always a treasure, and really fun to be with. He is now gone, but never forgotten to all to whom he has been in contact with. May he rest in peace, and be with his Creator.
