Thomas Mlynarczyk Obituary
01/26/1937 - 05/27/2025
Thomas Mlynarczyk, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Ebeid Center. Tom was born in Toledo on January 26, 1937, to John and Doris (Sommers) Mlynarczyk and was a graduate of Macomber class of 1955 and served in the U.S. Army.
Thomas was a Toledo Police Officer for 25 years retiring in 1988. He held an associate degree in Law Enforcement from the University of Toledo. Tom was active with many organizations, including, Sgt. of Arms American Legion Post 512, Toledo Police Patrolmen Association, Fraternal order of police Lodge #41, 40 and 8 Voiture 141 and the Toledo Police Museum. He also enjoyed playing golf, camping, fishing and playing solitaire on his computer.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary Pat. He is survived by his children, Theresa (Rich) Holewinski, Tom (Pam) Mlynarczyk and Robert (Dawn) Mlynarczyk; sisters, Suzanne Kazmierczak, Deborah (Mike) Pokrzyna; grandchildren, Jessica (Patrick) Mahaney, Amanda (Ronald) Bell, Victoria Mlynarczyk, Edward (Naomi) Miazga, Scott Doney, Maranda (Jordan) Borchert, Nichole (Kenny) Donaldson, Sommer (Brad) Vriezelaar and Amber Johnson (Eric). Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd, Toledo, Ohio, on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the funeral home, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.

Tom was my husbands partner for some time. After my husband died he helped me a lot. We talked on the phone a lot and he could make my day with his jokes. I will miss him alot. Janet Tovatt

I worked with Tom while rotating through day shift as a rookie. He was a good officer and man. He was always willing to help out one of the "new guys".
