Thomas Prohl Obituary
Thomas A. "Tom" Prohl went to his heavenly home Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born December 7, 1937, in Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and MaryAnn (Rouse) Prohl; and brother, John Prohl.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Krolak), Lambertville, MI; children, Carolyn (Prohl) and Mark Templin, Temperance, MI, Brenda (Prohl) and Michael Sassaman, Toledo, OH, Richard and Sarah (Stalder) Prohl, Westerville, OH; 9 grandchildren and spouses, Carl and Wen Qiang, Dalian, China, Veronica (Templin) and Brett Kohler, Monroe, MI, Michelle Templin, Toledo, OH, Alyssa (Templin) and Tyler Beck, Davenport, IA, Cort Sassaman, Toledo, OH, Cole Sassaman, Toledo, OH, Benjamin Prohl, St. Louis, MO, Ethan Prohl, Columbus, OH, and Abigail Prohl, Westerville, OH; and 1 great granddaughter, Rosalie Kohler.
He was a member of the Local #50 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters since 1957. He worked for many years at Schoch Plumbing & Heating and Armstrong Mechanical Service. He served as a Boy Scout leader for St. Teresa's and St. Pius X and as a little league baseball coach for St. Pius for many years.
And while these are things that he did in his life, he will always be remembered by his family for who he was. Everything he did was out of deep love and support of his family. Tom was best known as a faithful husband of 59 years, and devoted father and grandfather. His life exemplified love, patience, and a hard work ethic. His children and grandchildren will always remember the many hours he spent reading with them, attending their events, and the school or home projects he did with them, big or small. Tom was faithful in nurturing his family in faith and leaves a legacy of a life dedicated to God and family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main Street, Sylvania, OH. Funeral Services will be for family-only on Wednesday, May 4, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences to
