Virginia M. " Ginny"



Virginia M. McCully, 86, of South Toledo passed away peacefully on August 22, 2012, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Ginny was born on June 3, 1926, in Toledo to Albert and Lillian Just. Lillian passed shortly after her birth and she was raised by her mom, Gladys Just. Ginny worked at Neils Drugstore for many years, at Food Town as a demonstrator and recently as a volunteer receptionist at On Q Dance Center. She was a member of the former Broadway United Methodist Church and stayed active in the Circle group even after transferring to Church of St. Andrew UMC. A member of the Libbey Lunch Bunch she also enjoyed her times with her Bunco Sorority. A member of the Maumee Homemakers, Ginny was also active at the Maumee Senior Center participating in many bus trips with her friends. She enjoyed needle point plastic crafts and sharing them with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James E. McCully; brother, Arthur E. Just, and sister, Dorothy E. Just. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Tammy) McCully; daughter, Betsy (John) Wismer, and her dearly loved grandchildren, Kaela and Faith McCully and Lake, Andrea and Nicholas Wismer. She is also survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

Friends may call at the

Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Friday, August 24, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ft. Meigs Cemetery. Those planning memorials are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the American Cancer Society or Church of St. Andrew.

Always considered a wonderful person that thought of others before herself, Ginnys' infectious smile spread joy to every life she touched.
