Warren Thomas
The family of Warren Thomas Hem is saddened to announce the loss of their son, brother and uncle.
Warren's life on earth ended August 19, 2015, at The Toledo Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born October 10, 1958, to Alice (Carson) Hem and Paul M. Hem.
Warren completed K-12 at Ottawa Hills schools and as such was a member of the Kindergarten Club. He graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor Business Administration degree in Accounting. He then earned an Associate Degree in computer technology at UT, graduating with high scholarship honors.
Warren worked in various accounting positions at Matrix Technologies; Commercial Warehouse & Cartage; Advance Transportation and Pepsi-Cola.
True to the Hem name, Warren had a passion for cars and had just purchased a new one days before his death. His other interests included technology, movies, music, cooking, current events, and his special cat, Smokey.
Warren was extremely close with his family, who are left to celebrate his life. He particularly enjoyed discussing the latest technology and computers with his oldest nephew, Paul Hem III.
In recent years, Warren devoted his life to caring for his mother, helping her recover from an illness last summer.
He is survived by mother, Alice; sister, Barbara and (Frank) Mack; brothers, Mark Hem and Paul and (Dee) Hem Jr., and 19 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul M. Hem.
A private memorial service will be held. The family suggests any tributes be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
