I shared a Christmas Day with Bill several years ago in St. Anne's. He, the patient, and I, the nurse. Such a warm and freindly person; I always sought him out when he returned to us and kept him in my prayers. I know his ready smile will be missed by many, and my prayers are with his family and freinds at this time.

The Kershner Family,
I'm not sure where to start, it seems like just yesterday we lost Joni, and now our buddy Bill. He is at rest now. We will deeply miss him and his sense of humor. We'll miss Bill waving to us every morning at the campground when we go walking. It won't be the same without Bill or Joni. We love them very dearly, they were very special friends of ours, and will not be able to replace them. They will be with us in our thoughts for a long time. We love the family too. Our Deepest Sympathy to all in the family. Love John, Cheryl, Justin, and Chad Peters

To Bill and Joanie: Cliff and I are going to miss you two so much. We have had a lot of fun with you through the years, trips to Philadelphia, Beckley, W. Virginia, and many parties at your home and here at ours, and the many gatherings at Sue and Mark's home. We are going to miss you terribly. You both were so much fun to be with. We love you.

I am so thankful for the WWHS "GOLDEN REUNIONS" held in Beckley, WV each year. It was there in 2004 that I got to see my dear sweet Bill & his wife Joni. Bill & I were Jr.High & High School Sweethearts. What a fun time we had seeing each other after so many years. We then stayed in contact up till his death. While I am sorry to hear about Bill, he is finally at peace. Nursing homes are a horrible way to exist. Farewell my dear sweet "funny" guy.

I owe a great deal of appreation to Bill for all of the advice and teaching he gave me during our time at The Auburndale Co. Bill was always there to "tune me up" when I needed it, and even though at the time I did not like being in his office for this it was necessary for me to become something better. Thanks for everything Bill, I will always be in debt for this to you. Todd Hovis

Matt,Mark and Family,
So sorry to hear about Uncle Billy. I will always have fond memories of him at the family picnic. He always had some kind of mischief going on. I was glad to hear he went peacefully and is no longer suffering. I am sure your mom and Grandma Kershner are glad to have him home.Thinking of you!

We've know Bill and Joni from the campground. We use to camp beside them on L76. but we moved to another site, he was always a nice smiling guy with alot of funny jokes to tell and always lend a helping hand. Allen's from Princeton, WV and they wasen't far from there. He will missed so very much. The picture was Bill. Always smiling and so friendly. Our love and Prayers

Even though Mike and I only knew Bill for a short time, we considered him and Joni a part of our "summer" family and they both will be sorely missed by us and especially our daughters, Kaitie and Sami, who thought of them as "summer" grandparents. Love to all the family.
