Lorean H. Floyd

Lorean Holland Floyd, 88, a native of Mississippi and a resident of Lynchburg, Va., passed away June 24, 2013. Lorean Floyd was married to the love of her life, Charles Floyd, for 47 years. The Lord blessed her with five children; it was a lifelong joy to enrich each child with unconditional love and encouragement to be the best they could be. She pointed each one to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ ending her conversations with her children with: "I love you, but always remember that Jesus loves you best of all".

Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Malone. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Billy Floyd, Terry Floyd, Richard Mixon, Stephen Wynn, Robert Floyd, Charles W. Floyd and Nelson Mixon.

Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Floyd; son, Charles Michael Floyd; daughters-in-law, Doris Jean Floyd and Gaynell Floyd.

She is survived by her children, Billy G. Floyd (Vicki), of Greenwood, Fla., Donna Diane Floyd (Richard), of Scottsdale, Ariz., Terry L. Floyd (Mary Ann), of Yorktown, Va., Cindy M. Wynn (Steve), of Lynchburg, Va.; grandchildren, Robert, Lesley, Katherine, Rebecca, Charles, Victoria, Michael, Nelson, Miranda; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Ola Mae, Wilma, Shirley and Fayrene.
