Margaret Snyder Obituary

Margaret ""Pat"" (Seyler) Snyder, 91, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, while a resident at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor.

Pat was born on October 7, 1932, to the late Reginald and Gladys (Aurand) Seyler in Luthersburg, PA. She married Earl L. Snyder on July 25, 1953; he preceded her in passing on October 3, 2017.

Pat enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She spent years making and donating baby blankets, booties, and hats she made for the local hospital. She also enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. Most of all she loved spending time with all her grandchildren, keeping them overnight and going for walks in the woods behind the house, where they would pick up and eat chestnuts and wild blueberries. Pat loved playing Scrabble, Rummikub, Skip Bo, and Riley's version of Phase 10. One of her favorite sayings was ""I love you a bushel and a peck and hug around the neck.""

Pat is survived by four children: Michael Snyder; Connie (David) Mowrey; Carol (Dennis) Sichler; Patrick (Brittany) Snyder; one brother, Robert (Sue) Seyler; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in passing by three brothers: William Seyler; Don Seyler; Perry Seyler; three sisters: Mary Webb; Cora Young; Mardell ""Anna"" Price; two grandchildren, Amelia ""Amy"" Sichler and Marc Mowrey.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11 a.m. and officiated by Pastor Sam Bundy. Interment will take place at Smith Cemetery, Jefferson Co., PA.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Jefferson Manor, in the Friend Unit and on Memory Lane, as well as the WRC Hospice staff. Online condolences and other information may be found by visiting www.dargyfh.com.
