Thomas Phillips Obituary

Thomas Charles Phillips, of Elizabeth Township, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. He was born Jan. 26, 1936, in McKeesport, and was the son of the late Thomas V. and Charlotte Hunt Phillips. He was a retired foreman for General Carbide and had previously worked for the former Teledyne Firth Sterling in McKeesport. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 58 years, Lorraine Kestner Phillips; daughters, LynneDee (Mark-Richard) Muchow, of Elizabeth Township, and Carla (Anthony) D'Angelo, of Kennedy Township; granddaughter, MaryElizabeth Muchow, of Elizabeth Township; and cousins. Friends are welcome from 11 a.m. until service at noon Monday at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Oak Animal Safe Haven Inc., 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
