Denise Tobin Obituary

Denise Eileen Cole Tobin, 66, better known to her relatives as 'Punky,' passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a short battle against lung cancer. Born on Sept. 19,1958, and raised in Murrysville, she was the youngest of four daughters to Margret Shiels Cole and John Raymond Cole. She graduated from Franklin Regional in 1976 and worked for the next 42 years, most of those spent as the office manager for Dernar and Associates, LLC. Recently, she did books for Angelo's Cucina and Catering as well. Engaged in Ireland in 1989 and married on Sept. 22, 1990, at First Presbyterian Church of Murrysville, this union created her greatest achievement, the raising of her two daughters into confident and productive young adults. Some might also add her ability to remain married to Wallie for 34 years. Family vacations were always spent at the beach where she restored her soul and found some inner peace and happiness. Denise is survived by her husband, Wallace Noel Tobin of Greensburg; Caitlin Cole Tobin, Hollywood, MD and Kelsey Meghan Tobin, Dublin, Ireland. Also surviving are her three sisters, Debi and Dennis Cunningham, Greensburg, Donna and Burt Simon of Niagara Falls, CA, and Dorothy Cole and Richard Zeak of Cranberry Township. In addition, she has two nieces and two nephews, Michelle (Donnie) Marusko, Tomm (Amanda) Johnson, Denise (John) Bauer, and Burt Simon, III. Family and Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 3, in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where Denise's funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 4. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, donations to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation at PKDCURE.ORG. online condolences are welcome at www.kepplegraft.com.

Eternal Rest grant unto her. May she rest in peace.
So sorry to hear this. It´s been years, but she was an amazing neighbor on Logan´s Ferry Road. My grandmother used to get a kick out of watching out the window and seeing her get her mail in her high heels.
