Edward M. O'Neill

1952 - 2021

Edward M. O'Neill, 68, of Pine Township, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, while under the care of UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. Born Nov. 17, 1952, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William O'Neill and Alberta Turyan O'Neill. Ed was a talented operating engineer and was a member of the I.U.O.E. Local 95. He worked for Clark Candy for 27 years and the Unicco Co. at U.S. Steel for 10 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. He also loved to travel and take cruises with his family. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years, Marian DeLuca O'Neill; his siblings, Patricia (Nick) Ferresse, Christine (James) Leonard, William (Charlene) O'Neill and James O'Neill; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terrance O'Neill. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at the BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SVCS. INC., 130 Wisconsin Ave./P.O. Box 2155, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at St. Aidan Parish (at St. Alphonsus Church), 221 Church Road, Wexford, PA 15090. (Friends please meet at church.) He will be laid to rest at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project (online: woundedwarriorproject.org/donate).
