Nicholas Lugin Obituary

Nicholas Lugin, 95, of Glenshaw, died peacefully Thursday, March 24, 2022. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Kopistansky) Lugin; and stepson of the late Andrew Shaytar. Nick was a veteran of World War II and retired from Mine Safety Appliance (MSA). Nicholas was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Cherishing his memory are is children, Adele Dott (Phil), Nancy Friedman (Peter), Nicholas Lugin (Jo), Mark Lugin (Diane) and Claire Yeskey (Dan); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, George Shaytar (Nancy); sisters-in-law, Joann Shaytar and Franny Jocuns; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Nicholas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maryann Lugin (Hartung); brothers, Al, Harry, William, Andrew, Michael, John, Steve and Jim; and sisters, Esther, Florence and Ann. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, at ELOISE B KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A funeral Mass will held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw. Memorial contributions maybe made payable to Elfinwild Home Meal Ministries, 3200 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116.
