Adlin Strimel Obituary

Adlin D. Strimel, 75, of Chartiers Township, died Sunday, June 4, 2006, in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. He was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Cecil, a son of Adlin Joseph and Marie Strimel. Mr. Strimel was president of Strimel Brothers Inc., and Adlin Homes Inc. He was a longtime member, and twice president of the Washington County Home Builders Association. Mr. Strimel attended the First United Presbyterian Church, Houston, Pa. On April 28, 1950, he married Margaret Smith, who survives. Also surviving are a son, A.J. Strimel and his wife, Kim, of Chartiers Township; two daughters, Renee Poland and her husband, Gary, of Washington, Pa., and Brenda Kopp and her husband, Richard, of Moyock, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Mathieu Poland, Colette Molinaro, Danielle Baldwin, Adlin Strimel III, Devon Strimel, Jesse and Seth Kopp; two great-grandchildren, Blake and McKenzie Molinaro; two sisters, Almaretta Shober, of Washington, Pa., and Armellia Beyer, of Denham Springs, La.; three brothers, Rosier Strimel, of Ellicott, Md., Norman and Irwin Strimel, both of Houston, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two sisters, Leona and Mercene. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the McILVAINE-SPEAKMAN FUNERAL HOME LTD., 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, Pa. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First United Presbyterian Church, Houston, Pa., with the Rev. Clarejean Haury officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Presbyterian Church, Houston, Pa., or the American Heart Association.
