Josephine Niklaus Obituary

Josephine T. Niklaus, 91, of West View, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, in Manor Care North. Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 15, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Louis S. and Marie (Hoffman) Balsimo. Beloved wife of the late Edward C. G. Niklaus. Loving mother of Thomas (Carol) Niklaus of Kane, Pa., and the late Donald Niklaus. Mother-in-law of Monica Horner of North Hills. Sister of Joseph Balsimo of Maryland. Loving grandmother of Paul, Eric and Neal Niklaus, Chris Niklaus, and Julie Duminiak; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Niklaus was a member of the St. Athanasius Christian Mothers and Women's Guild. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME INC., 388 Center Ave., West View. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Athanasius Church. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ross. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to St. Athanasius Christian Mothers and Women's Guild, 7 Chalfonte Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15229. www.schellhaasfh.com
