Laura Romanos Obituary

Laura Bernardi Romanos, 86, of Clairton, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, in John J. Kane Regional Center, McKeesport. She was the retired co-owner of the Bluebird Restaurant in Clairton and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Clairton. She was a member of Sons of Columbus Genova Council No. 6, American Legion Auxiliary of Daniel Keffer Post No. 75, both in Clairton, the Pittsburgh Jazz Society and AARP. She was born June 9, 1923, in Clairton, a daughter of the late Alex and Mary Capponi Bernardi; and wife of the late George Romanos Jr., who passed away Feb. 11, 2003. She is survived by a son, George Kim Romanos, of Clairton; granddaughter, Lisa Romanos, of Clairton; great-granddaughter, Farrah Berlin Pavlack; sisters, Gloria Sherman and Lillian Bindas, both of Clairton; brother, Arthur (Cookie) Bernardi, of Butler; and nieces and nephews. No viewing or visitation is scheduled. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the A.J.
