Marie Haas Obituary

Marie (Schmidt) Haas, 82, of Reserve Township, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. Born Oct. 24, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she was the loving daughter of the late Michael and Sabina (Kraus) Schmidt. She was the beloved wife for 40 years of the late Robert W. Haas Sr. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She was the dear mother of Donna, Robert Jr. (Sharon), William (Loretta), Karen (Bob) Haas and Kathy (Philip) Aussprung; proud grandmother of Robert (Shelley), Michael (Shannon), Billy, Nicole, T.J. Haas and Kelly Aussprung; and great-grandmother of Emme and Maddie Haas. Family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES INC., 388 Center Ave., West View, PA 15229. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Aloysius Church with Father Garvey as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mt. Troy. Family suggests donations in her name to the National Children's Cancer Society, Attn: Trish Collins, 500 N. Broadway, Suite 800, St. Louis, MO 63102.
