Dear Joan, Eileen, Brenda and all, I am very sad to hear that Sally is gone. She was always such a one to look up to. She was who I wanted to be when I got big. I am very sorry for all of your sadness. I will keep you all in my thoughts.

When my parents and I came to Pittsburgh in December of 1948, Sally "looked after" the "Kid from Ireland." I remember going to play in the park in Homewood with Sally and Eileen.
