Dear Joan, Eileen, Brenda and all, I am very sad to hear that Sally is gone. She was always such a one to look up to. She was who I wanted to be when I got big. I am very sorry for all of your sadness. I will keep you all in my thoughts.

Mary Gordon & Family,
My deepest sympathy to you in the passing of your mom. I remember meeting your family when your father passed away and I was so impressed by the closeness and warmth. Find comfort with each other and believe your dad was waiting for her with open arms.
You are in my prayers.

When my parents and I came to Pittsburgh in December of 1948, Sally "looked after" the "Kid from Ireland." I remember going to play in the park in Homewood with Sally and Eileen.
As we Irish say, Sorry for your trouble."
