Albert Zolyak Obituary

Albert Zolyak, 88, of Irwin, died peacefully Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018. He was the husband of Julie (Esasky) Zolyak and the late Helen (Bittner) Zolyak, loving dad of Henry "Hank" Zolyak and Mary Ann Ernette, special grandfather of David Ernette and Adam Ernette, and was also survived by 27 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Steven and Praska Zolyak; and siblings, Michael, John, Pete, George and Andrew Zolyak, Helen Parker, Martha Buddick and Ann Czyzewski. Mr. Zolyak was a faithful Byzantine Catholic and very devoted to his church. He loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed drawing, polka dancing and Pittsburgh sports.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a parastas service at 7 p.m., in ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, 412-824-4332. Divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. Al will be laid to rest in St. Barbara Cemetery, Harrison City.
