David Reese Obituary

David J. Reese, 89, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born June 27, 1933, in New Kensington, son of the late David Reese and Helen Szymanski Reese. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Reese. Dave graduated from Plum High School. After serving in the military, he worked full-time and attended Duquesne University full-time where he received an undergraduate and two Master's degrees in education. He was an avid hunter and fisherman most of his life. He also enjoyed golf, playing and watching. He also enjoyed working in his yard with his wife, but most of all he loved his family, always helping and guiding with his advice and knowledge right to the end. David will be dearly missed by his high school sweetheart and wife of 68 years, Patricia Koziarz Reese; two sons, David Alan (Janice) Reese and Daniel Robert (Susan) Reese; daughter-in-law, Sue Reese Hartzell; five grandchildren, Christy (Jeff) Robbins, David Phillip (Kelly) Reese, Brody Reese, Max Reese, and Michael Martinez; two great-grandchildren, Julian and Jackson Robbins. He is also survived by a niece, Robin Reese; and a nephew, Eric Reese. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at HART FUNERAL HOME INC. A committal service will be held at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. To attend, please meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
