Elsie Brundage Obituary

Elsie C. (Magill) Brundage, 84, of West Newton, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, after a lengthy illnesses. Her passing will be a great loss to her loving family. Daughter of the late John and Ruth Magill and wife of the late Norman Brundage, Elsie was also preceded in death by brothers, John (Katy) Magill and Ralph Magill; and sisters, Jane (Bill) Manown and Joyce (Don) Hall. She is survived by four sisters, Mary Greenawalt and Dorothy Matty, of West Newton, Helen Troup, of Somerset, and Daryl Shaw, of Hutchinson; sons, Alan (Cathy) Brundage, of Colorado, John Brundage, with whom she lived, and Mark Brundage, of West Newton; a daughter, Jo Ellen (Fred) Kontur, of West Newton; grandchildren, Melanie (Ryan) Wells, of Wyoming, Jacob Brundage, of West Newton, James Yex, of Farmington, Matthew Brundage, of Wyoming, and Sean Brundage, of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Haylie, Logan and Savannah Wells, of Wyoming, and Peyton Yex, of Oregon; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Elsie enjoyed many activities that included traveling, ballroom dancing, playing cards, crafts, baking, sewing, and many other things of which the main thing would be being involved with her church and singing in the choir. Please join the family and friends in celebrating the life of a woman who will so dearly be missed from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the J. WILLIAM MCCAULEY, JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 901 Vine St., West Newton, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the West Newton United Presbyterian Church, Fourth and Main Streets, West Newton. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Mill Grove Cemetery. www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
