James Kirkpatrick Obituary

James A. "Jim" Kirkpatrick, 68, of Adrian, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, comfortably in his home. James, fondly known as "Jim" or "Jimmy," was born to Donald and Norma (Hunter) Kirkpatrick, May 31, 1955, in West Deer Township, Allegheny County. Jim spent most of his life in Phoenix, Ariz., before relocating to Armstrong County in 2018. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in electrical engineering. Jim began his professional journey with Motorola and later Freescale Semiconductors, where he was an engineer. Jim was an active member of the Cowansville American Legion and an avid hunter. While in Arizona, Jim was very involved with Youth Outdoor Unlimited, fostering in the younger generation a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the traditions of hunting. He liked to stay busy, always working on projects which included building sand rails, car engines and welding. One of his passionate hobbies was roping and tending horses. James is survived by his daughter, Prudence N. (Michael) Fink, of Upper St. Clair; grandchild, Derian J. (Paige) Sziraki, of Kittanning; his brother, Lee Kirkpatrick, of Adrian; nephews, Dale (Lindsey) Kirkpatrick, of Edinboro, Kevin Kirkpatrick, of Elwood City, and Shawn (Sam) Kirkpatrick, of Winnipeg, Canada; his stepmother, Margaret "Marge" Kirkpatrick, of Gibsonia; and half-sisters, Jenny (Mike) McGrath, of Gibsonia, and Debbie (Mark) Wasson, of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by BAUER FUNERAL HOME INC.
