John Strucaly

1937 - 2018

John Strucaly, 80, of Ligonier, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born June 19, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John S. Strucaly and Helen Nasta. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church and the Air Force Reserve. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Chunks. John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary O'Toole Strucaly; two daughters, Denise Warren and her husband, David, of Ligonier, and Jennifer Snyder and her husband, Reuben, of Westmont; a granddaughter, Paige Snyder and her friend, Julie Inks; and a great-granddaughter, Teagan Elizabeth.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 402 E. Church St., Ligonier. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Church with the Rev. John Foriska as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beth Luther Rescue Fund though Donavan Veterinary Clinic. John's family would like to express their gratitude to Alex and Shawn from Bethlen Home Health Services, and all the nurses and doctors at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital who cared for John, especially, Dr. Matthew Govora.
