Lillian Carothers Obituary

Lillian M. (Mason) Carothers, 99, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She was born July 21, 1925 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Lister) Mason. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Bill" Carothers, a daughter, M. Eileen Phipps, and a brother, William L. Mason. Prior to retirement, she was a graphic illustrator for Westinghouse Nuclear, Monroeville. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine L. "Kit" Carothers (Peter Cassidy) of Boston, MA and her son, John K. Carothers (Susan) of Mars Hill, NC; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Martha Sample of Los Vegas and a niece, nephews, and grands. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, Wednesday, July 16, at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, where a funeral service will follow at noon. Private interment will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal shelter or local food bank.
