Nancy Fisher Obituary

Nancy J. (Uplinger) Fisher, 80, of Irwin, formerly of White Valley, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025. She was born June 24, 1944, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Homer and Dorothy (Clever) Uplinger. Nancy enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was a wonderful baker, filling the house with mouthwatering aromas. But most of all, she cherished the moments with family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rudolph 'Rudy' Fisher, Jr. Surviving are her loving children, Deanna (Robert) Moyer of Pittsburgh, and Monica (Nathan) Matera of Johnstown; cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Alison, Ethan, Noah, Jacob, and Mary; and her sister, Mary Ellen. Respecting Nancy's wishes, services and entombment are private. WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME, INC., Export, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
