David E. McKrell

1953 - 2016

David E. McKrell, 63, of Fawn Township, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at Bel Air Nursing Home, Lower Burrell. He was born April 19, 1953, in Harrison Township, son of the late Homer E. and Anne (Forrester) McKrell. David lived most of his life in Fawn Township and was a 1972 graduate of Highlands High School. He was a laborer for Daily's Juice/ American Beverage Corp. in Verona and prior PPG, Ford City, Lake Region Medical in RIDC and also Respironics. David enjoyed going to flea markets was an avid collector of flea market finds. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Cynthia L. (Smith) McKrell; daughters, Lee Ann (Brian) Carley, of Freeport, and Kerry L. (Bill) Williams, of Tarentum; stepchildren, David Kuhn, of Natrona Heights, Melissa Jack, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Darrell McKrell, of Arnold; grandchildren, Aaron and Isaac Carley and Jessica Williams; step-grandchildren, Cory (Torrey), Tyler, Kyle, Kamryn and Hunter Jack, Lance, Skyler and Cadence Kuhn and Warren, Xavier, Gavin and Darrell Jr. McKrell; and two step-great-grandchildren, Mindy and Cory Jack. Also surviving are his sisters, Suzanne (Randy) Shaffer, Valencia and Marianne (Brown) David Grant, of Seaford, Del.; and a stepfather, Joseph Palchinsky, of Ohio.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. Tenth Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be private in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
