Jerome M. Kallock

1942 - 2021

Jerome "Jerry" Michael Kallock, 78, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021. He was born Nov. 15, 1942, in East Vandergrift, a son of the late Michael J. Kallock and the late Florence E. (Zanewicz) Kallock. Jerry was a graduate of Vandergrift High School, Class of 1960. He played football and graduated from Georgia Tech, and then served in the Army. Jerry was employed by DuPont and later by the Westmoreland Water Authority before retirement. He coached Little League baseball for many years, and influenced hundreds of children with his quiet, positive leadership. But Jerry's greatest joy was his family. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Stephen G. Kallock; and his brother, Richard J. Kallock. He is survived by son, Chris (Beth) Kallock; daughter, Amy (Gary) Weissel; daughter-in-law, Christine Kallock; brother, Father Michael J. Kallock; niece, Rev. Michelle (Eric) Knight; and dear friends, Jan and Art Evans. Jerry was loved dearly, and "Bunka" will be greatly missed by his seven grandchildren, Matt, Anna and Sophie Weissel and Maggie, Megan, Makenzie and Max Kallock. A private family burial will be held at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Vandergrift. Father Michael Kallock, CSP, and the Rev. Michelle Knight, United Methodist Clergy, will co-officiate.
