RICHARD PROO Obituary

Richard Proo (Dick) Born 11/20/35 in Denver, Colorado to Richard Proo Sr. and Elvira Proo. Grew up in San Diego, CA. He served in Korean War, graduated from Monterey College in Monterey, CA. Worked as a carpenter all his life. Raised his 3 children as a single parent. Moved to Washington in 1969. Richard coached many youth teams in football and baseball as his children grew up. He loved sports. He was a diver for the Army and received a scholarship for college from the Army. Retired at 59. Mariners, Seahawks, and Chargers fan. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Elvira Proo, his sister Eileen and son Gordon. He will be missed by his wife Patricia, son Mike Proo and wife Lori, daughter Celine and husband Dave, stepdaughters Christina, husband Tom, stepdaughter Danielle Stephens and many nephews and nieces. Richard was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 24th, at 2pm in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA. In lieu of flowers please send donations in his name to Wounded Warrior Project. https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org

Dick, we will miss you so much, we both met you through different circumstances but never the less, we both respected and loved you. You were always fun to be with. I am so happy that you found Patti and had those years together.
