Joyce Canavally Obituary
Born in Troy, she is the daughter of the late Edmond and Dorothy Rogers.
Joyce worked at Siena College in the food service industry, before retiring in 2012, after many years of dedicated service to the students and faculty.
She enjoyed traveling; especially the annual trips to Aruba with her husband, Bill, where they have met so many friends through the years. However, what Joyce enjoyed most of all was being a mother and grandmother.
Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, William J. Canavally; her children, Damon, Kyle, and Kristin; and her cherished grandchildren, Devin, Isabella, Kyle Jr., Alexis, Kameron and Connor.
Joyce will also be dearly missed by her friends from Aruba, the Siena community and all of her friends throughout the Capital District.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Joyce at 10 a.m. Wednesday April 30, at St. Mary's Chapel at Siena College.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29. Interment will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.

Bill how sad to have lost such a wonderful friend like Joyce.....even though we met in Aruba.....it was like we had known each other forever.......she always made me laugh....she will be missed by all how knew her......my thoughts and prayer are with you
