Mary Lanoue Obituary

LANOUE, MARY SCHAGHTICOKE - Mary Dorothy Lanoue, 85, of Rice Mountain Place, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family Born in Troy, New York on December 19, 1925 she was the daughter of the late George D. & Catherine Murphy Hope. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband William G. Lanoue, Sr., whom she married on June 15, 1947. Mary graduated from Lansingburgh High School and dedicated her life to raising her family. She was as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time at home and traveling with her family. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Parish. Survivors include her children; William G. (Amy) Lanoue, Jr. of Waterford, Michael J. (Mary Alice) Lanoue, Alfred L. (Barbara) Lanoue all of Troy, Donna (Rudy) Siska of Schenectady, Diane (Gene) Barton of Buskirk, Denise (Martin) Fiendel of Troy, Dorothy (Gregg) Lewis of Troy, Danielle (Raymond) Mallory of Marshfield, MA and Debra (Ryan) Bennett of Troy, four sisters; Shirley Ryan of Troy, Kathleen Schermerhorn of Lake George, Elizabeth Sherwin of Mahwah, NJ., and Patricia McManus of Coxsackie, NY, 23 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several brother and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by a sister Helen Miller and several brother and sister-in-laws. Funeral service will be held 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home Inc.565 Fourth Avenue, thence to St. Augustine's Church where a 9:30 a.m. mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Northeastern NY Chapter Pine West Plaza Bldg. # 4 Suite 405 Washington Avenue Ext. Albany, NY 12205.
