My Grandfather was the strongest man I have ever known - So full of life. He worked hard and knew how to have fun. His family was always the most important thing in his life. He was always there for all of us in the good times and bad times. He always treated us with love and kindness.
He fought with the 10th Mount in WWII. He built his first sailboat by hand and lovingly named it after his daughter. He and his loved ones went on many adventures on his boats. He always smelled of sawdust and diesel. He loved oatmeal and powdered milk for breakfast. Blue and yellow were his favorite colors. He went for a walk each morning and each night with his Brittany's and family .
He had many hobbies such as hunting and fishing. He could fix anything! He enjoyed a good glass of wine . He always wrote in pencil. Yellow roses would show up on our night stands from his garden. He had a man purse that he carried all his life even before it was fashionable in the US … I believe my Grandfather started this trend!
There are too many good things for me to say about my Grandfather. We all should live lives that were as full and blessed as he did. I know the I was blessed to have a Grandfather like him in my life. I know he is in Heaven with his mother looking down on us …. I love you Grandpa!!
