John and I were best friends since 1948. We shared growing up, our parents, travelling, movies, scuba diving, many very private personal chats and always humour. Laughing with and about ourselves remains my favourite buddy Kolb adventure and memory!

Sylvia, there are no words to express how saddened I am to hear about our loss of John. You know how much I love both of you..and what great memories I have of our times together. He was THE BEST! Your love for each other was so strong, he adored you, and you him.. a match made in Heaven!
He was the kindest and gentlest man I ever knew...he always knew exactly what to say to take the edge off any situation, and his sense of humor was immeasurable...right up there with his knowledge of sports. It doesn't seem real that you are gone from us John. I will miss your wonderful sense of humor. Your strength and positive attitude to the end was amazing. I never once heard you complain. I will miss how you used to love to sit back, sipping on you drink, listening to us girls "girl talk." What an education you got. Us girls, we'll talk about anything, and everything.
