Leslie Wheeler Obituary

Leslie Carol Wheeler born February 24, 1951, died January 13, 2015. Leslie is survived by her parents, Bruce and Maggie; sister, Amy and brother, Churchill. She had a Master's degree in Special Education, worked for many years as Director of Brewster Women's Shelter, and dedicated herself to victims of domestic violence. She found life a struggle after a rocky marriage. She died suddenly of an aortic anurism. A private memorial will be held. Anyone wishing to remember her, please send donations to the Tucson Humane Society. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.

I knew her back in the day at Child Support Services, then again when she headed Brewster and I was working for Domestice Violence Diversion. I always liked her, it's such a shock. She really wanted to make a difference in the ugly world of domestic violence, and I believe she did! Condolences to her family. Sncerely, Lorrie McQuie
