Marjorie Hoag Obituary

HOAG, Marjorie B., 86, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007 with her family in attendance. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hoag. "Marge" was born Tuesday, January 18, 1921 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Orville and Alma Paulison. She attended North Side High School, Rockford College, Arizona State College (NAU), and the University of Arizona, where she received an M.A. in Special Education. She taught 5th grade in Flagstaff, Arizona and subsequently taught at the Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson. In retirement she served as a docent at the Museum of Northern Arizona. Marge was a woman of strong faith and most recently was a member of the congregation at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church in Tucson. She has two children; Stefanie Hoel of Estes Park, Colorado and Tom Hoag of Woodland, California. She has a son-in-law, Bill Hoel, also of Estes Park, Colorado. She has three grandchildren; Jacqueline Lawson, Damian Hoag, and Lukas Hoag. Marge had smiling blue eyes and playful sense of humor. She loved and was loved. We will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road, Tucson, Arizona. Gifts should be sent to Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road, 85749. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
