No better coach than Wayne Corder. He was the gold standard by the way he coached and treated all those he touched.

May Jesus Christ keep you in the palm of his hand and grant you peace during this time. I loved Coach Corder's classes and running cross country. I knew he was a special human being who showed us kids how to act and also had a sense of humor. Remembering the Measles Run in 1980.

R.I.P. Coach. You were a genuinely gentle soul. And, a great coach. Palo Verde HS Varsity Girls Cross Country 1981-1982. Coach Corder, Sam Romero, Dena Thornton, Carolyn Sanchez, Heather Meade, myself, Alice Polacio. Maybe you and Coach Mead can run again now.

There are only a few certain people who made an impact on your life. Coach Corder was one of mine. I was a track and cross country manager from 1965-1969. Was mentored by him, road the bus with him while the cross country team ran their practices, assisted him with great teams and great people.. even won the state track meet one year.. I remember his kindness, patience, guidance and "Christ in him" care for me and every member of the team... thank you Coach.. see you in heaven someday !

I had the honor of working with Wayne for four years at Palo Verde High School. He was one of the finest teachers and coaches I have ever worked with! He was truly a gentleman in every way! He truly made a lasting impression on me! My sincere condolences to his family.

Wayne was a coach in all of the best definitions of the word: mentor, friend, guide, teacher. We worked together at Palo Verde High School and I remember so well when he would come by to check on how his kids were doing in my class. He was a true gentleman and left a lasting impression of caring and concern. I am so sorry for your loss and hope your memories will help you through this very difficult time.
