William Kleese Obituary

William Carl (Bill) Kleese Ph.D. age 84, finished his earthly mission on Sunday 30th of June 2024 at his home in Tucson, AZ. Born 20th of January 1940 in Williamsport, PA. Son of Donald Raymond Kleese Sr. and Helen Alice Mulburger.

Bill had a very productive life earning his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. at the University of Arizona and was a research scientist at the U of A for many years. He also served in many callings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Vivian Ann (Yeager) Kleese "Nan" had a genealogical store in Tucson called "Family History Land" with books and supplies where Bill taught research classes and vendored at the Genealogical Society in Tucson and surrounding areas. Later he became a financial advisor and Medicare insurance agent and did yearly taxes for family and other clients. He was a man of high integrity and moral values.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years Vivian (Nan), and five sons: Scott Kleese (Jenny), Mark Kleese (Earlene), Troy Kleese (Tina), Brett Kleese (Kathy), and Lance Kleese (Cindy); two daughters: Jolene Penrod and Kecia Lewis (Barney). Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 49 1/2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10 am at the Tucson East Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 6901 E Kenyon Drive, Tucson, AZ.

My condolences to Nan & family. I just found out Bill had passed. I remember the tender heart he revealed while bearing testimony of Christ.
