Mr. Johnson was my teacher during the spring of 1969. He was very positive person and stressed positive values to all of the students. He was one of my best teachers and I often think of him. He never mentioned his service in the 45th Infantry Division during World War II to the class but I now realize that he was one of America's heroes.

I was fortunate to have Mr Johnson as a teacher at Edison Jr High. He was a great teacher - always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye - but he kept order in his classroom at the same time. I had no idea of his distiguished military record.

My condolences to the family.

Mr. Johnson was my teacher back in the early 1970's at Edison. He was a teacher who always had the respect of his students. He was a teacher who could be strict at times but who's kind heart and wonderful sense of humor were known to us all.

I was not aware of Mr. Johnson's bravery during WWII or his good works after his retirement until I read his obituary, but it does not surprise me because he was such a strong and honorable man.

We were all fortunate to have you as a teacher and role model.
Thank you Mr. Johnson.

Dear Family Members of "Charlie" Johnson. As a fellow Edison High School Teacher & Principal, I have fond memories of Charlie. We served some twenty-odd years at Edison with Pride and appreciation of the Parents, Students & Staff. As a former member of the 45th Div(Korea), Charlie & I had many long discussions on how we "won" the war and the Pride that comes with being an "Okie". Please accept our condolences and sympathy on your loss.
