Albert Styres Obituary

TUSCALOOSA Albert “Greg” Styres, age 53, of Tuscaloosa, died Jan. 13, 2011, at home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with John Alexander and Paul Peeples officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his brother, David Styres of Ralph; his mother, Voncile Styres of Ralph; his aunts, Virginia Raiford, Martha Powell, Jeanette Styres, and Lucy Styres; his great-aunts, Vivian Gregory and Mary Gregory; and his great-uncle, Cecil Gregory.

Pallbearers will be Larry Ernest, Jimmy Ernest, Charlie Ernest, Bennie Ernest, Jimmy Eatman, Eddie Clements, and Joel Crawford.

Honorary pallbearers are friends of Fieldcrest and the Romulus community, all other friends and relatives, and members of Tuscaloosa Warriors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

This makes me sad to read. Just this weekend I saw the Christmas card that he gave to me. I will always think of him and miss seeing him at the Credit Union. I will always cherish the ornament that he gave me for Christmas as well. God Bless all of you. Praying for you all.

our thought and prayers are with all of the family. i have a few fond memories of greg. i met greg when he attend northington school with my brother gary. greg was always a nice, happy and fun guy to be around. i have not seen greg in a long time but i have thought about him alot over the years. voncile we know the pain you feel right now and we are very sorry and we are praying for you. my god bless you.
