Martha, I used to work with "Steve" at Kool 94.1. He was a nice guy. I had later seen him at Lowes and he told me how much he enjoyed being a father of a young child again. Doug will be missed.

I am Doug's half-sister, Courtney. I was shocked to hear of his death. I have tried to find him since the last time we talked in April of 2005. I wish I would have known how to contact him. To his family, I hope you are all well and may God guide you through this. Feel free to contact me if you would like to. I would love to know more about my brother's family and his life in the past few years since we lost touch.

I had not talked to Steve in many years. We worked together in Columbus radio in the 80's, then our paths crossed a few times over the years. He loved radio, had a great voice, and was always a nice guy. I'm glad I knew him.

Martha and family,
I found out yesterday that Doug had passed away and I was in shock for most of the day. I just did not want to believe he was gone. I worked with Doug (I always called him Steve) for about twenty years. He and I were close during that time and we are almost the same age. He was about 11 months older than me and he was already at WJRD in 1982 when I began my radio career there. I will miss him greatly. You and your family have my sincere condolences. Doug was a good man and his life was important to me and many others. I pray he is in a better place.
Sincerely,
