Age 83, died peacefully at home on October 13, 2016 surrounded by family & friends. Written by Andy: I was a Korean war veteran, born in Minneapolis, raised & schooled in La Crosse, WI. Also a 1951 graduate of Aquinas HS & 1958 graduate of Wisconsin State College at La Crosse, one of the first Liberal Arts graduates as it transferred from being a Teachers College. My career was spent mostly in ladies apparel sales, traveling the upper Midwest calling on department stores & apparel shops, ending my career with Super Moms Commissary. Please don't mourn me, rather celebrate my life, I had a great one. I loved my wonderful family, especially at holiday get-togethers. What a hoot, we could really fill up a house. And how many family trips we made to Disney World. I was able to travel the U.S. in my RV, coast to coast, Key West to Alaska. I loved outdoor bluegrass concerts & spending hours on my Mac touring the net. Survived by best friend & wife of 61 years, Jean Ellen, 6 children, Dawn (Jack) Schultz, Deb (Tim) McManimon, Kelly, Gregg (Cathy), Steve (Stacie) & Scott (Beth). Papa to 18 grandchildren & 5 1/2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice or Church of St. Rita. Visitation will be at St. Rita's, 8694 80th St S, Cottage Grove, MN Thursday, Oct 20 4-7 p.m. & 10 a.m. Friday, Oct 21 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
