Bernie, I'm always proud that you were my Godfather. May God rest your Soul now from the torments of the POW years, and the last couple of years. Corinne, and "kids", you were wonderful caregivers. Thank you and bless you all.

To the Fitzpatrick Family,

I know how close you all are, and that this must be a difficult time. Bernard was a true hero, and from what I hear a great father and grandfather - he had to be to raise such a nice bunch of folks.

Aunt Corrinne and family...Am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. I've always heard so many wonderful stories of Uncle Bernie, I'm sure he will be truly missed by so many. My husband Gary had so wanted to meet him in person as Bernie's tank unit was parent to the unit that Gary recently retired from in Duluth. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort with memories and stories shared by all who have known him throughout his wonderful life. God Bless, Mary "Jo-Jo" and family

Dear Corinne and Family,

We send our love and wonderful memories of Bernie. We were invited to hear him sing at St. Agnes church, followed by brunch at Ciatti's. Bernie's voice was beautiful and his laugh, often we told him, put Ed McMann to shame. Our adventures together at Crosby Pte. will never be forgotten. Bernie, you are now just beginning the rest of your life.

Love, Betsy and Trice

My Grandmother, Marie Deuhs, told me how brave she felt your father was when he came home from the war. She also read his book. They both attended Mass at St. Mark's in the 40's/50's.

My Minnesota adopted father who always believed in the strength of his family and friends. He once said of me - "She doesn't deal with lightweights." Bernie FitzPatrick was no lightweight. I can hear him singing from above. God bless him.
