Gary K. SAMPSON

1934 - 2018

Age 84, of Edina Passed away July 1, 2018 Preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Jean, parents, Millard & Ardelle Sampson, brother, Dale Sampson and sister, Carol Stechmann. Survived by daughters, Laurie (Paul) Duxbury and Nancy Sampson; sons Jon (Maria) Sampson, and Tom (Syndy) Sampson; grandchildren Jordan Hamilton, Sara and John Duxbury, Jake, Jill, Angelia, Mia, Kathryn, Carter and Mathew Sampson; sister Karlyne Dorholt; brothers Norman (Adaline) Sampson, Roger (Sue) Sampson and Brian (Carol) Sampson, relatives, friends and caretakers. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, always ready with his smile, contagious laugh or lively debate. Gary was an accomplished salesman and lifelong athlete, especially on the golf course where he had six holes-in-one! Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 12th at 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am at the Church of St. Patrick, Valley View at Gleason Rd, Edina. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Edina for the excellent care that they provided to Gary.
