Jake always had a ready smile and quick wit and of course loved to tease you . His love of sports was borne of his love to be around people and the fun that he had . He provided many youth and adult sports participants a chance to play on a team and also was willing to serve as an accomplished umpire for many years . He will be missed indeed . Go Packers !!

I am the widow of Jim's cousin, Weldon. They were both born and raised in SSP. Weldon had a severe stroke 10 years ago and passed away almost 7 years ago. I was so very sorry to hear about Jim. I fully planned to attend the visitation and service tomorrow. However, I have been sick with a severe cold for over a week, so it is best I stay at home. I have many memories of Jim (as we called him). I am sure you have many memories of your life with him. God bless you all in this time of sorrow.
