John was a caring, compassionate man and exuded family values. I worked in the Ecolab St. Paul office for a time after the flood. I fell while I was there, and when John heard about it he offered to take me to the emergency room himself, even though he didn't really know me and was so busy himself. Ecolab wasn't the same without him. My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and all who loved him. So sorry for your loss!

John was a treasured friend and adviser, and I will miss him dearly. I came to know John in 2012 when I joined the staff of Minnehaha Academy, and John was on the Board Finance & Investment Committee. John was wise and generous. He had a gift in expressing words of both encouragement and counsel. I will never forget a day we spent together some 3 years ago, driving to Le Sueur to play golf and seeing the home John and Emily had shared as a young couple. He lived in a manner that reflected his love of God and of others. May God bring His Peace and Comfort to the Douglass family and all who loved him.
