Kathleen GOFF Obituary

(nee Coakley) May 31, 1946 - Feb. 9, 2014 Passed away surrounded by her immediate family in the early hours of Sunday, February 9th, 2014 at the age of 67. Kathy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard; a daughter, Jennifer Henretta (Kevin) of St. Paul; and a son, Robert Goff (Matthew McAlpin) of New York City; 2 grandchildren, Eli and Maizy Henretta; her sisters, Jane Gatti (Dick) and Susan Bohn; and her many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Fred R. and Rachel (nee Sutherland) Coakley. Kathy attended Henry Sibley High School and the University of Minnesota. A devoted mother and friend, Kathy was known for her kindness, infallibly gracious manner, and low-key love of life and family. Against all odds she battled ovarian cancer for more than six years, during which time she saw the birth of two grandchildren, her son's wedding, and lived life to the fullest whenever and however possible. A gathering of family and friends will take place 2 - 4 PM on Sunday, February 16th at the University Club in St. Paul, 420 Summit Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Second Harvest Heartland, the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance or the donor's choice. Hodroff-Epstein 651-698-8311 www.hodroffepstein.com

What a lovely, gracious woman, and so kind to us little kids when we ran around her house and climbed the trees in her yard. I always think of her fondly. You are all in my prayers.
