Mary Shields Obituary

"Kelly" Age 57, of SW Mpls. Retired as an RN after 31 years with Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. Preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Shields, and brother-in-law, Michael Lindlof. Survived by her father, Tom Shields; siblings, Peg Lindlof, Patrick (Gayle), Kathleen, John (Linda), and Bob (Cindy) Shields; nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends. Mary LOVED life and appreciated the little things. Through her 4 1/2 year battle with cancer she never gave up. She was a vibrant, caring, creative spirit. We will miss her, but will remember her zest for life and her dry sense of humor. Precious memories will live on in those who knew and loved her so. Her career focused on Child and Adolescent Psych, and memorials may be given to NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) or donor's choice. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Service Saturday, 1:30 PM with visitation 1 hour before at: Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 West 50th St. & W. 100

There will forever be a void in my world with Mary's passing, but my life is better for having had Mary Jo Shields in it. Mary, rest in peace and thank you for your friendship.
