Memories and Condolences
for Michael Johnson

Not sure what to say?

Charlie Gili

April 26, 2013

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Johnson Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

To the family of Michael our sympathy and prayers go to you. Heroes and their families should never be forgotten for without them we would not have the freedom we have. My name is Betty Nielsen the founder of Freedom Quilts a non profit organization that makes quilts to honor our heroes and give them to the parents of our heroes that have died. It would be the greatest honor to design and make a quilt to honor your son. I design each quilt with honor and respect to our fallen soldiers and respect for the family. I take pictures that you send and put them on the quilt along with their hobbies and sports and anything else that you wish on the quilt. The quilt is a gift from us to you it is my way of honoring this wonderful young man and his family. If you would like to contact us to receive a quilt then here is my email [email protected] and my website is www.freedomquilts.net I start this project after 9-11 and now over 8 years I have continue it for our fallen soldiers families. Again I would be more then honor to do this for you. Your son gave it his all I want to give to his family by honoring his memory in a quilt.

I want to send out my deepest sympathy to the Johnson family. As a mother and wife myself, my heart is torn from my chest, even as I type this now I can barely see through the flood of tears. This brave soldier was my cousin (whom I never really got to know) and I have never been so proud to call someone family, as I am now.

His love will linger all around you, his smile etched in your minds to recall forever. I know you wonder if the tears will ever stop? They steadily fall, unpredictably and unexpectedly like a river. The Lord Jesus bottles up every tear and weeps and makes intercession for you.

The Word of God tells us that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Draw near to your Heavenly Father right now family, as you know Jesus is the only one who can bring the peace that passes all understanding.

I love you all so VERY much.

To the Family of 1St LT.Michael Johnson,

I want to express my sincere sympathy at Mr.Johnson sudden death. This has to be a very hard time for the family so I hope the words at Psalms 34:18 bring some comfort. It reads-"God is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves".

Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.
=======================================

A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;

Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,

But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;

The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,

Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;

All the way to the end of the
sky.

That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,

So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;

Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in
heaven.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to 1Lt Michael Johnson our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Michael. And to Michael it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Michael, you are a brave Marine Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,353 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Michael’s family and loved ones. Semper Fi !

We share your sadness in your loss. But, we also share your joy and love for having Michael in our lives.

It was always fun to have Michael around my home. Since Carrie has grown, she has shared some very funny and special Michael and Danny stories with me. How wonderful for her to have had two such wonderful friends.

I am so very proud of Michael and want to thank him and you for serving our country. Such a loss, is a fallen soldier.

Please never doubt for one moment, that God has a special place saved just for this marine, this special young man.

We feel very priviledged to know Michael and your family.

I would also like to express condolences from The American Legion Post 8, Washington, DC. We are ever proud to serve those that have served.
