I can't believe it has been 5 years since you earned your wings, and yes you truly earned them! Yesterday as we attended mass at the Irish Fair the emotions were high as that is where we were exactly 5 years ago when we learned of your passing. :( Life certainly goes on but my heart aches thinking of all you have missed though I believe you do see and even have a hand in some of what goes on. You would be smiling down on that beautiful Granddaughter of yours as she is truly a beam of joy and is now heading off to college. You would be her biggest fan, so very proud of all her accomplishments. Mom (Nana) still talks of you and stories the two of you shared - not to mention she calls Sarah "Pam" all the time. :) It is nice to know Heaven gained a beautiful angel, but we sure the hell miss you down here!
Until we meet again-
Eileen & Nana too!

Grandma I haven't written one of these yet for ya but I can't explain how much I miss you. We were best friends did everything together you loved me so much I know that. I hated seeing you in pain it hurt me to know that I couldn't help you. Once I found out you had cancer my heart broke into a million pieces I loved being with you at the hospital and shalom we had some pretty good times there. I didn't like going there sometimes because I hated to see you cry when you were in pain and i just wanted to fix you you have always been there for me and that summer was the time i needed to be there for you I'm so happy for you that you aren't in pain anymore. Everyday is a struggle for me because I don't get to see you remember that I'll always be your Tay babe and how much you mean to me grandma. I know you're watching over me and you're always with me love you with all my heart -Tay

Pam, Greg & Jeff, had the exceptional and, even then, unusual experience of going to a one room grade school. I believe 8 grades were taught there. I was off at one time and went to school with the Voeltz kids as a guest - 2 days in a row. This is such a lasting memory. The teacher, an older woman, would give each row of kids, by grade, their instructions. Sometimes she would direct older kids to help. Each day, chaos ensued and the teacher would sit at her desk at the front and stare at all the children - No instruction. The children would realize they were being too loud by the teacher's demeanor. The 1st day, I mouthed to Pam (across from her but a row adjacent - as a yr younger) "what is she doing?" Pam side mouthed back, "We need to quit being loud." We all sat there in silence, with the teacher staring at us angrily for what seemed to me then - a long time. Different schooling to me for sure - but I am positive I knew, even then, this was a way of educating that wouldn't last. Yet, I know these 3 familial students exceeded well.

Oh - surely, if my heart is broken, I know yours are in bits....I was Pam's good friend when we were little girls, teens, and fledgling adults. Our mothers were best friends and after my own Mom died of cancer at 53 years old, I brought my first BEST boyfriend out to meet Pam's Mom for her approval. I was in Pam's wedding. Though Pam was only a year and some months older than I - she was always my guide - always more wise and mature. She was truly a teacher. I love her, then and now, with my whole heart and soul! I turned 60 in May and by happenstance too odd & astounding to account for here, Pam contributed to a memory book a friend put together for me. She did this in her own beautiful handwriting and I cannot say how much I cherish this! My Dad always, most rightly, thought Pam "the best of the best" (my Mom & Dad were Renae's Godmother & Godfather)and she and Joe came to his 80th Bday party in Eden Prairie at my sister Sarah's house. We were so joyful to be together and she tried so hard to get me to visit her Mom in SD, but it wasn't to be. I wanted to go SO bad, but just couldn't. I talked to Mary V., though, and it was a very special conversation. Pamela Voeltz Dudley is in heaven - we have no idea what that means, but we can be absolutely assured this is true. I, for one, will always pray to her, to pray for me and my intentions to Our Lord - I am so sad she is gone, but grateful she will be there as my guide, my additional hope, my heart. Blessings to you all, forever.
Your are loved

Dearest Sarah, Phill, and Joey,
I am deeply sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Taylor, I know you were very close to your Grandma too and I can only imagine how much you all will miss her. If only words could take away the sadness you feel, I would write you a novel. Please know that I am thinking of you during this difficult time and I wish you peace and love. If there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to call.

With love and sympathy,
Kate Oertli (Galvin)

To the Dudley family, I met your mother through Pat Conway, she was a nice and fun lady, my mother and Pat had many laughs with her, it's hard to understand God's purpose in taking her at such a young age, but you need to know that she made her mark here on Earth, she loved her children very much and even though you might want to have her for a longer time, rest in peace knowing that she will be watching you and loving you always from heaven, so sorry for you loss, your mother was a wonderful woman. I met Pam at Sholom Home, when I invited her to come out of her room to meals. For the first few days, she would ask the caregivers, "Is Jeanne out there yet?" before coming out. Before long, I was asking the caregivers, "Is Pam out there yet?" I will never forget the wonderful times we had. She became such a dear friend in such a short time. My sympathy to her entire family, who always made me feel welcome. Pam, among my favorite memories are Sorry, puzzles, Scrabble, Bennett's and Happy Hour! I love you.

I remember at my mom's memorial, Pam stood up and said, "Margie always made me creamed tuna on toast. I will miss her making me creamed tuna on toast." Well ~ they are together now and my mom is making Pam creamed tuna on toast! You will all be in my prayers. Pam will be missed.
