Thomas R. BETTENDORF

Age 68 of Shoreview Died peacefully at home on 12-30-21 after a long battle with cancer. Tom grew up in Roseville and never moved far from there. In 1973 he married Diane (Mundahl) and they had four fantastic children, Brian (Jane), Julie (Earl) Diekman, Dave and Laura (Jacob) Klatt. Those children blessed him with 12 grandchildren, Travis, Jack, Madelyn, Allison, Evan, Ryan, Hudson, Justin, Brinley, Zachary, Emily and McKenna. Tom worked at Fisher Nut Company for 13 years while he got licensed to fly. He then spent the remainder of his career as an airline pilot – his childhood dream. Tom has also left behind his loving mom, Marge; siblings, Kathy Henry, Steve (Suzie), Jim, Barb (John) Reber, Kathy (Brad) Henke and Rick (Nicole). Tom is also survived by in- laws, Kate Libra, Beth and Larry Mann, Bill and Kit Mundahl and many very dear friends, nieces and nephews. He was so loved and will be missed by all. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 7th from 4-7 PM at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM-PURCELL FUNERAL HOME, 515 W. Hwy 96, Shoreview, MN. Funeral service Saturday, January 8th at ll:00 AM at ROSEVILLE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Roseville, MN 55113. Memorials can be given to Second Harvest Heartland or Roseville Lutheran Church.
